Are black dots on celadon a defect?
No. These are natural kiln marks caused by trace iron in mineral clay during high-temperature firing. And it cannot be avoid completely, in handcrafted ceramics, this process is naturally unpredictable and cannot be fully controlled.
Will black dots affect safety or taste?
Not at all. They do not affect durability, safety, or the taste of tea.
