About us

A collection of traditional chinese celadon teaware including small tea cups and celadon teapots.

Hi, we’re RouseClay. So glad you like our celadon porcelain things!

Our boutique artisan celadon pottery studio based in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, a city in southeastern China, along the quiet banks of the Ou River, in the ancient👉 Ouyue region, the area where Ou kilns were located — the historical birthplace of Ou ware celadon, one of the earliest and most revered forms of Chinese celadon pottery.

I growing up here, traditional chinese celadon teaware was a part of everyday life. The rhythmic sound of spinning wheels, hands shaping raw clay, and the earthy scent of the kiln after firing are the soul of RouseClay.

Authentic Craftsmanship from the Source

We directly quarry the clay from the local mountains—the very same source that provided the authentic raw materials for Ouyao pottery production 2,000 years ago—and then subject it to purification and firing, integrating these traditional materials with modern techniques and craftsmanship. Unlike mass-produced items, our collection—ranging from the delicate song dynasty celadon cup style to functional modern teaware.
